Fall is over, and you think to yourself, “I am finally free from all those mosquitos, ticks, etc.” Unfortunately, that is not the case for many. Winter is coming and the pests that come along with it. Here are some pests that you should look out for while you are getting cozy and drinking hot chocolate.

House Mice

Some mice can bring delight to your life like the ones in the pet store or Mickey Mouse. But it is another thing if they are in your home or business and just trashing the place. The house mice are the most common rodent to be found in the US. These pests can cause serious damage in your structures as they can chew through dry wall and electrical wires. In addition to that, they also carry many diseases such as Salmonella and tapeworms.

Other types of rats can be found in your home or business such as Norway rats. Like the common house mouse, these rats gnaw and cause serious damage in your structures.

Ants

With all the different seasons, its easy to be confused on how to protect your home from pests. Ants, however, can be seasonal or year-round. Now, these pests, can range from being just annoying or pose a significant damage to your home, depending on the kind of ant. Certain ants live outside but go indoors to forage for food but some live under your roof and damage your furniture, or worst, your building structure.

An important factor to figure out before doing something is to find out what kind you are dealing with. With the different kinds of ants, there are unique solutions in getting rid of each specific kind.

Termites

These pests are usually active the whole year-round, the only thing that changes when temperatures are in the cooler side is how deep they burrow to the ground. Although during the winter, there may be lower chances of them swarming around, the higher temperate in homes still tend to attract these pests.

Our team in A&M Pest Control are all highly-experienced in dealing with different kinds of pest no matter what the season is. We are also equipped with high-quality equipment that we use for our ecologically friendly solutions.
